One vendor, one invoice, and nobody to recruit.
A fall event your board can approve in one meeting and your volunteers do not have to staff.
Penn Pumpkin Co runs the fall event for PTOs, PTAs, and home and school associations across greater Philadelphia. One flat price covers setup, staffing, and cleanup, so a parent group approves a single line item instead of building a volunteer roster.
What the room will ask before it votes.
Getting it through a board vote
A flat price is easy to put to a vote. $599 or $799 is one line in the minutes, not a spreadsheet of table rentals, prizes, and supply runs that grows between meetings.
The volunteer roster nobody can fill
Our team sets up, runs every station, and cleans up. Your volunteers greet families, sell raffle tickets, and take photographs, and no one has to be in the parking lot at seven in the morning.
Where it sits in the budget year
Fall spending is usually decided long before autumn. Ask early, hold the date with the $250 deposit, and your treasurer carries a fixed number into the next fiscal year.
RSVPs that never hold
Headcount is the number that misbehaves at a family event. Book the package that matches the turnout you expect, and add pumpkins in blocks of 50 for $75 if more families arrive than said they would.
District rules you do not control
The PTO pays, but the vendor is coming onto district property, so the district checklist applies. We are insured, and we run record checks on our crew. A standard certificate of insurance is available immediately, and one naming your organization as additional insured can be requested. Send that checklist over early and we will work through it with you.
How a parent group pays us
Purchase orders are accepted and our terms are net 30. A $250 deposit holds the date and is credited against the invoice, so nothing has to clear a treasurer twice.
What a self-run fall event costs.
A parent group can run its own fall festival. The price shows up in pieces: pumpkins bought at retail, tables borrowed and returned, supplies from four different stores, a sign-up sheet chased for three weeks, and a Saturday that starts at dawn and ends with somebody hauling the leftovers home.
Booking it out turns all of that into one number and one contact. Put both versions in front of your board and let them choose.

- Space
- Thirty by thirty feet is our recommended minimum. We flex it to the space you have.
- Indoors
- A gym, a hall, or a large room works.
- Ages
- All ages.
- Crew
- Staffing scales with the size of the party and what you book.
- Supervision
- We run the activities. Supervising the children stays with your own staff.
- Weather
- Light rain is fine and the party runs. We hold no rain dates; in worse weather we reschedule, and your deposit carries over as credit for two years. Spend that credit on another party with us, or at any of the businesses under our parent company, PA Fun Co.
- Paperwork
- We are insured, and we run record checks on our crew. A standard certificate of insurance is available immediately. A certificate naming your organization as additional insured can be requested, though the timing of that one rests with our insurance agent. Tell us what else your office needs on paper, and we will work through it with you.
PTO questions, answered.
How many volunteers does a mobile pumpkin patch need from us?
None for the activities themselves. Our team runs the picking, the decorating tables, and the games. Adults at the event stay responsible for the children they brought.
Does our school district have to approve a PTO vendor?
That is your district’s call. What we can tell you is that we are insured, that we run record checks on our crew, and that we accept purchase orders. A standard certificate of insurance is available immediately, and one naming your organization as additional insured can be requested. Send us what the district asks of a vendor and we will work through it with you.
What if more families turn up than we booked for?
Extra pumpkins run $75 per additional 50, and extra time runs $75 per additional 30 minutes. Above 100 children we quote by inquiry.
What happens to our deposit if the event is rained out?
Light rain is fine and the event runs. In worse weather we reschedule, since we do not hold rain dates, and the deposit follows the new date as credit good for two years.
Can a fall event like this raise money for the PTO?
Many groups charge admission or run their own tables alongside the patch. We price the event; what you charge for it is yours to decide.
Approve one line. We will handle the Saturday.
