Elementary schools

A fall festival that fits inside the school day.

Bring the patch to your blacktop, your field, or your gym, and run it class by class with no bus and no trip paperwork.

Penn Pumpkin Co runs pumpkin-patch parties at elementary schools across greater Philadelphia. Our team sets up on your blacktop, field, or gym, runs picking, decorating, and fall carnival games class by class, and clears the space well before dismissal.

Before you can say yes

What a school has to settle first.

Getting it approved

Two people have to say yes: the principal signs off on the day, and the business office signs off on the vendor. A flat price with no per-child arithmetic settles the first. Our procurement page settles most of the second before anyone picks up the phone.

What it works out to per child

$599 covers up to 50 children for 60 minutes, which is $11.98 each. $799 covers up to 100 for 90 minutes, which is $7.99 each. Nothing is added afterward unless you choose to add it.

Fitting it into the school day

Classes rotate through in groups, so the patch stays busy and no child stands in a long line. A 90-minute window absorbs several classes comfortably, and the special-area schedule usually offers that window without moving lunch.

Where it goes

Blacktop is our most common school setup, and a field or a gym works just as well. We confirm the footprint with you when we plan the day, and we carry everything in ourselves.

Who is watching the children

Your teachers stay with their classes, the way they would for an assembly. We run the picking rows, the decorating tables, and the games. Supervision of the students stays with your staff.

What the business office will ask for

We are insured, and we run record checks on our crew. A standard certificate of insurance and a W-9 are available immediately, and a certificate naming your organization as additional insured can be requested. Districts each want that shown differently on paper, so send us your checklist and we will work through it with you. Purchase orders and net 30 terms are standard for us.

Instead of a trip

Nothing leaves the building.

A farm trip costs a bus, a morning of travel, a stack of permission slips, and a chaperone ratio you have to fill from a parent list. Bringing the patch to school removes all four. The children walk out of their classroom and into autumn, and they walk back in with a pumpkin.

It also gives you a private event. Your classes do not share a field with the public, and the schedule is yours.

The details

What we tell every school office.

These do not change with the size of your school or the shape of your yard.

Space
Thirty by thirty feet is our recommended minimum. We flex it to the space you have.
Indoors
A gym, a hall, or a large room works.
Ages
All ages.
Crew
Staffing scales with the size of the party and what you book.
Supervision
We run the activities. Supervising the children stays with your own staff.
Weather
Light rain is fine and the party runs. We hold no rain dates; in worse weather we reschedule, and your deposit carries over as credit for two years. Spend that credit on another party with us, or at any of the businesses under our parent company, PA Fun Co.
Paperwork
We are insured, and we run record checks on our crew. A standard certificate of insurance is available immediately. A certificate naming your organization as additional insured can be requested, though the timing of that one rests with our insurance agent. Tell us what else your office needs on paper, and we will work through it with you.

School questions, answered.

Can a mobile pumpkin patch run during the school day?

Yes. Most of our school parties run inside the school day, with classes rotating through the patch in groups while our team staffs every station.

What does a school fall festival cost per child?

At $599 for up to 50 children, $11.98 each. At $799 for up to 100 children, $7.99 each. Both prices include setup, staffing, and cleanup.

Do we need a field, or will a blacktop work?

A blacktop is our most common school surface. Thirty by thirty feet is the recommended minimum and we flex it to your yard. If the weather turns, a gym works.

What does a school need to provide for a mobile pumpkin patch?

Space, access for our vehicle, and staff who stay with their own classes. We bring the pumpkins, the tables, the games, the music, and the cleanup.

What happens if it rains on the day of our school event?

Light rain is fine and the party runs. We do not hold rain dates, so in worse weather we move indoors where a gym or a hall is available. Otherwise we reschedule, and your deposit is held as credit for two years.

Will the pumpkin patch make a mess of our gym floor?

Very little. Our straw looks the part and is synthetic, so it does not shed or scatter across a gym floor, and it sweeps up quickly. Our team clears everything and leaves the space as we found it.

Pick the week. We will bring the harvest to your yard.
