Autumn, brought in to the people who love it most.
A seated pumpkin patch for your residents, and a reason for grandchildren to visit on a Saturday.
Penn Pumpkin Co brings a pumpkin patch into senior living communities across greater Philadelphia. Our team sets up indoors or on a terrace, runs seated picking and no-carve decorating at tables, and clears everything away the same afternoon.
What to settle before the calendar goes out.
Programming that suits your residents
The patch works seated. We bring the pumpkins to the table, and no part of the activity requires standing, bending, or a strong grip.
Intergenerational days
All ages, and here that is the whole point. A family Saturday puts a resident and a grandchild at the same table, with the same task in front of them.
The activities calendar and the rhythm of the day
We fit a 60- or 90-minute window between meals and therapy, and we set up before it opens. Tell us the hour that suits your residents and we will build the day around it.
Indoors, in a real room
A dining room, an activity room, or a covered terrace all work. Tell us the room and we size the patch to it.
Your care staff, our crew
We run the patch and the tables. Residents who need assistance stay with the staff who know them.
Booking through a regional office
Regional and corporate offices usually want a vendor packet before a community can spend. We are insured, and we run record checks on our crew. A standard certificate of insurance and a W-9 are available immediately, and a certificate naming your organization as additional insured can be requested. We accept purchase orders, and our terms are net 30. Send us the packet requirements and we will work through them with you.
A harvest most of them grew up with.
A table of real pumpkins does something a craft kit cannot. Residents handle the varieties, tell you which ones their mother used, and argue cheerfully about pie.
The activity is calm by design. There is no rush between stations, nothing is timed, and the music stays low enough that a table can hold a conversation over it.
How a party runs, step by step →What we confirm with every community.
Everything here holds whether the event runs in the dining room or on the terrace.
- Space
- Thirty by thirty feet is our recommended minimum. We flex it to the space you have.
- Indoors
- A gym, a hall, or a large room works.
- Ages
- All ages.
- Crew
- Staffing scales with the size of the party and what you book.
- Supervision
- We run the activities. Supervising the children stays with your own staff.
- Weather
- Light rain is fine and the party runs. We hold no rain dates; in worse weather we reschedule, and your deposit carries over as credit for two years. Spend that credit on another party with us, or at any of the businesses under our parent company, PA Fun Co.
- Paperwork
- We are insured, and we run record checks on our crew. A standard certificate of insurance is available immediately. A certificate naming your organization as additional insured can be requested, though the timing of that one rests with our insurance agent. Tell us what else your office needs on paper, and we will work through it with you.
Senior living questions.
What fall activities work for residents with limited mobility?
Seated pumpkin decorating at tables. We carry the pumpkins to the resident, and the decorating is no-carve throughout.
Can the pumpkin patch set up indoors?
Yes. Indoors is fine. A dining room, an activity room, or a multipurpose space takes the setup, and we flex our thirty-by-thirty-foot minimum to the room you have.
Do you run intergenerational events with visiting families?
Often. The activities are built for all ages, so a resident and a visiting grandchild can work on pumpkins side by side at the same table.
Who assists residents during the activity?
Your own staff. Our crew runs the patch, the decorating, and the games, and any resident who needs personal assistance stays with the people who know their care.
Does the setup make a mess of our activity room?
Very little. Our straw looks the part and is synthetic, so nothing sheds onto an activity room floor and cleanup takes minutes. Our crew clears it all and leaves the room as we found it.
How does a community pay for an event like this?
We accept purchase orders and invoice on net 30 terms. A $250 deposit holds the date and is credited against the invoice.
Bring the season to the table.
